Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi, one of the senior Iraqi scholars, met with Dr. Mohammad Hossein Abboud, the head of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of Karbala University, and a group of professors in his office in Karbala on Monday, January 22.

In this meeting, the senior Shia scholar emphasized that the responsibility of developing social culture is mainly the responsibility of universities and seminary institutions. The Islamic universities form a bridge between the university and the seminary. A bridge that has been formed in order to develop civilization with the realization of Islamic authenticity in universities to take advantage of the achievements of the Islamic religion on the one hand, and progress in the seminary on the other hand. This brings a fusion between originality and development.”

He added, "Students need informative lessons that will take them to horizons beyond the horizons of the lesson that they experience in order to cultivate the spirit of faith and piety in them and improve their relationship with God Almighty."
